The estate
Rubro is the colour of the earth beneath our feet. Rubro is the character of our wine.
Around 27 hectares of land gently sloping over the hill known as Scaletta. Woodlands, olive trees, meadows, vineyards, an intimate courtyard enclosed by an elegant manor from a distant era… and breathtaking views. A land we walk on, cultivate, and live.
Leaving the courtyard behind, the lime tree avenue leads to an unspoiled garden, where old and new paths wind through wild woods, ancient orchards and flourishing vineyards. Graceful and silent, the vines stand at the hilltop, sheltered from fog and frost. At their feet, the reddish clay soil yields fragrant, full-bodied fruit, giving rise to authentic and structured wines. All around, the wild woodlands are home to a precious biodiversity.
The grapes are carefully watched, selected, hand-harvested and processed on the same day, always respecting nature's rhythms — the fruit's time, the climate's time, the must's time, the resting time. We never obtain the same results. We always do our best. At the hilltop, the belvedere opens up, and the eye travels freely, accompanied only by the sound of one's breath.
