La Corte

An ancient manor rests in the stillness of an unspoiled garden.

We are in the land of Palladio. Not far from the centre of Vicenza, stands an elegant farmhouse — the ancient Sant'Agostino spring, once a source of mineral water with peculiar beneficial properties. Behind it, an old road climbs steeply through rocks and shrubs, reaching the summit of Monte Scaletta. Here you cross the threshold of the estate and an unexpected world opens up… an ancient stone manor rests in silence, sheltered by centuries-old maritime pines.

Silence reigns supreme. And it is this very silence that bears witness to how, once, this place was devoted to prayer and meditation. The Dominican Fathers of Santa Corona chose this place as a grange, and built a small chapel dedicated to San Vincenzo Ferreri.

The large barchessa was originally used for agricultural purposes and once housed the stables. Today, following a complete restoration, these stables have been converted into tasting rooms and event spaces. The barchessa, which still retains the flavour of its time, is now used to welcome anyone who wishes to spend a moment of conviviality in the embrace of this quiet.
